Preparation:

In a large pot, sauté the onion, meat, and spices with the olive oil. Add the blended tomatoes, tomato paste, and herbs, and simmer for a few minutes. Add the lentils and chickpeas, then pour in the water. Cook over low heat for about 40 minutes. Add the flour mixed with water to thicken the soup, followed by the vermicelli. Simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring regularly. Serve hot with Moroccan bread or dates.
